Card Games

Almost any day a card game can be found in either the Towne Hall or the Farmhouse complex.  Couples play pinochle on Thursday nights in the Towne Hall.  Poker is played by the men on Thursday afternoons and women on Tuesday nights in the Farmhouse card room. The laughter coming from the card room indicates a whole lotta fun is going on!

Gin Rummy is played on Tuesday afternoons and there even is an occasional game in the golf shop after a round of golf.  Co-ed Cribbage is played on Tuesday afternoons.

Bridge seems to be the most popular game and is played by the ladies on Thursday nights and the second Saturday of each month. Couples bridge is played on Tuesday evenings.  Bridge games are played in the newly decorated Farmhouse living room, which gives the feeling of a friendly game in one’s own home. Beginning lessons are offered occasionally by bridge experts among the residents.

The Farmhouse card room was decorated by volunteers with a sport fishing motif along with the familiar "Dogs Playing Cards" prints.  Hard working volunteers removed old paint and uncovered beautiful bricks and hearth surrounding the fireplace.  Residents are often found in this pleasant room biding time with a game of solitaire.
